10 July 2011Jacinta Rheinberger As a Conservationist we need to start listening to mother earth and the animals and creatures that call her planet home. its time to stop, think, reflect and take action in preserving threatened animals, fish and plant life that are becoming extinct because of our greed and selfishness!!!!!! we are a greedy species that needs to stop being so and start giving back and I think a marine park is one awesome way to give some of the worlds marine species a place to stay safe and be prosperous and procreate!!!

27 April 2011antoinette Australia should become the leading country in the world to protect the life from the sea. The whole coastline should become a protected sanctuary. With designated areas given to fishing. Australia is the only country that has the mentality, outlook and backing of the people to be able to create such protection for the sea creatures. The one country in the whole world. The future of these sea animals need our protection. The amount of waist is for-nominal and the world is destroying at a very fast pace. We need to be-come the breeding ground for all species so that future mankind can survive. Perhaps we can teach other cultures to replenish the sea and land. We need to stop KILLING and start relocating. We can see what is happening now We need to STOP immediately and ACT and I call on the existing AUSTRALIAN government to start doing the job we elected them in to do. Become a LEADING country in PEACE and PRESERVATION and STOP giving our MINERALS away for nothing. AUSTRALIA is the most LIBERAL and COMPASSIONATE country in the WORLD. STOP letting other countries and their people take us for backward FOOLS. "THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT NEED TO ACT [on behalf of its people] AND BE THE LEADING COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" morally - ethically - and one day financially. We need to be in CONTROL of our own country. Do it now before we lose complete control over everything. STOP BEING SO PATHETICALLY WEAK and control our country as we the Australian People want you to do.

29 March 2011Anthony Muyt Protecting the waters of Sydney for the future generations of all species makes a lot of sense. If it is to be done lets get it right, based on good science and effective consultation. Working together; the community, environmental NGO's, the fishermen (recreational & commercial),Govt and the traditional custodians to get the balance right.

22 March 2011Lachlan This is the issue that will decide my vote. I would also like assurances that the Marine Park Authority will continue to manage marine parks and management wont be handed over to fisheries or another non conservation directed department.
19 March 2011Amanda Clarke This is an important step for us to take as a state and as a nation. Wouldn't it be better if we were remembered for taking action instead of being remembered for being weak and not looking after the environment? This will benefit everybody, especially the fishermen who oppose it. I just wish they could see that.
